Hotel Victoria Park - Masjid Bunder

Absolutely not recommended.

My stay at this hotel was far from pleasant. The staff seemed to act as though they were doing you a favor by simply doing their job. There was an overall attitude that made me feel like I was bothering them with even the simplest requests.As for housekeeping, towels were only changed upon request, and during my entire stay, my room was never cleaned. This lack of basic service is unacceptable for a hotel.To top it off, the breakfast was awful—limited options, poor quality food, and nothing fresh. It was honestly one of the worst hotel breakfasts I've ever experienced.The location didn’t help either. It’s situated right by a busy market, which meant there was a lot of noise, traffic, and dirt all around. The area felt chaotic and unclean.Overall, I would not recommend this place. The experience left much to be desired, and there are far better options out there for the same price.

- we had a late check in, but the room was still not prepared properly (there was no toilet paper, no towels available), the receptionist informed us, they do not have any towels for us at that moment and we had to wait till the morning- the hotel personnel is extremely unpleasant and slow- the breakfast is extremely simple (only omelette with toast), nothing more- the rooms were very noisy from the corridor area- the area of the hotel is very dirty

Good location

It was so UNBELIEVABLY NOISY. So many guests were so loud and would not be quiet. Pointless staying there if you need to get up early.

Room stay not comfortable. Room was not ready to sell. No comp Tea/Coffee station. No dental kit. Comp breakfast very poor. Guest experience poor. The hotel reception is not a the Ground Floor, its on level 6 The hotel access is uncomfortable, pathetic.

A professional Hotelier staff is a must to look into details.

Price of the room was good

The staff isnt prepared to handle guests, they are only about themselves. You order coffee it comes after an hour, someone went to buy milk the first time and the next time coffee was over. No towels were kept in the room during check in, realised it when I went for a shower. No soap. The staff serving break had a leaking nose that dripped liquid when he was serving. This is a huge disguising point. The guy who was the receptionist on the eight floor looked like he owned the hotel. I had to tell him it's about the guests comforts and not his. Staff needs a lot of training. Maybe they are overworked.

It looked like the only decent hotel in the area.

They were charging extra for early check-in. They didn't inform earlier about this.

I recently stayed at this hotel and unfortunately, the experience was far from satisfactory. First, the entrance of the hotel was difficult to find as there was no visible sign, making it confusing to locate. The road in front of the hotel is constantly busy due to shipping activities, which added to the chaos.Adding to the inconvenience, there was construction happening right next to the hotel, and the noise was extremely disruptive. It made it difficult to relax during the day.As for the room, it looked fine and matched the pictures provided online, but the amenities were disappointing. There were no water bottles, towels, or basic shower items provided. To make matters worse, the shower wasn't working properly.The breakfast experience was another letdown. It was not ready at the promised time, and we had to wait an hour just to receive bread and an omelet, which was frustrating.To top it all off, someone knocked on our door late at night without any explanation, which was quite unsettling.Overall, I would not recommend this hotel based on my experience. It lacked basic amenities, had poor service, and the environment was far from peaceful.

Nothing really.

Their service was very very poor. There was rat in the room and rat droppings everywhere. One of our bags and some food was eaten by rat. We tried to cover the hole ourselves where we thought rat was coming from. (Pic attached). We were promised room for 5 people but facilities were only given for 4 people. Small mattress was provided on 4th day. Hotel staff tried few times to con us by overcharging double price for laundry, charging us for tea which was already included in breakfast etc. Breakfast would come after 1.5/2 hours, and the tea would not come atall until you keep asking like 20 times. Once we were denied our usual breakfast by saying its not available today because we queried the laundry price which was doubled then the previous day but Others who came after us were given that breakfast. The area is the most busiest in whole Mumbai. Taxies does not go near the hotel. We felt very very upset with overall experience and how we were treated. Building was also very unsafe as there were big wholes and gaps near stairs near 7th floor 5th floor, where anyone can fall from and loose their life. ( Pics attached). Wires directly attached to the electic box without plugs were on lots of stairs. Very dangerous. We would definately never stay there again.

Rooms are very neat and clean, best budget friendly hotel near to Masjid Bandar and nice view.

Very dirty, and bad location

The photos shown on Booking are not real. Very very dirty, with the smell of urine and vomit on the window. It was dirty everywhere. The bathroom had not been cleaned in weeks, I think. The toilet was full of urine everywhere. I had the feeling that if you touch something, you get sick. Horrible. And to top it off, the elevator belongs to the building's workers. Which by the way, is also very dirty.

Nothing to like the property

Bad hotel ,they don’t give you water from 2nd day to last day , if you purchase water you have to pay extra amount because of labour , there washroom so suck , no exhaust fan for vantilation , no dustbin , no toiletries, and major problem is your room lock was not working at all, they say you go anywhere we were looking for security by cctv camera ,my room no is 605 corner room , and in this hotel there is mouse also , one day we go for shopping and when we come at night then i see mouse torn and eated our food and banana something. They charge whole amount in advance because of we can’t say anything and they ignore us.And if you take breakfast room they give you poha , vada pav , poori sabji but only one item how it can be possible if your stay for 3 people then they can give us different items but they give only one item 3 vada pav for 3 people that’s it. There cealing fan was so dirty dust come out on our bed

Service. The room was not being cleaned. During 4 days stay, they cleaned room twice only after persuasion. Soap and shampoo was provided upon request. No Coffee in the hotel. Overly sweet tea was brought from outside and served. Senior staff lacked experience . Expect one little boy, rest of housekeeping were helpful against tips. They were quite open about it. Noisy. On arrival they were not reachable on the phone After 2hours of search, they could not findout reservation. They had no clue that we are coming. The room wasn't clean. Toilet was filthy. Bed linen was used. Dust bin was filled with rubbish. Lobby and room door front was filled with rubbish including wrappers, dust and empty plastic bottles. The hotel does not meet the hyped rating on the platform.

The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Staff was very polite and cooperative. Breakfast provided was nice.

- price was great. I doubt it will stay that way (seemed like it might be an introductory offer)- location is convenient - new property, so new linens & towels- good AC, plus a fan- hot water (maybe too hot)

- windows not soundproof - lots of awakening train horns due to nearby station (still woke even with earplugs). Ended up having to use a white noise app and still wasn't great.- fire detection and suppression system did not seem operational. Smoke detector had plastic wrap cover, sprinkler also had plastic insert still in it.- they wanted the pin number for my booking - probably to leave a review or worse to cancel it and charge me twice. It started off as an innocent request to get a picture of my confirmation number, but after showing them the sanitized Gmail version which doesn't have the confidential pin number they specifically asked for the pin number.- tax was not clearly shown in the total, which is annoying for a property that requires cash payment. This is sort of also on Booking for allowing this- construction dust everywhere, TV still had stickers & protector. Labels still on doors, covers still on much of the stainless.- staff not that helpful or maybe just bad English. Didn't give wifi password, tell about breakfast. This info should be on a card in the guest room.- no safe place for valuables, no do not disturb sign.- had to insert keycard for power, which is pretty standard, however, it also meant no way to charge anything when outside of the room. Keycard power required the actual keycard and not just any card.- no daily housekeeping. That was honestly a plus for me, but unusual for India (or maybe it's because I didn't leave the keycard at reception)- a basic foam mattress which wasn't very comfortable- every time I flushed the toilet, the cover came off the button. In fact the mechanism was broken, and toilet stopped flushing after a few flushes.- there were clothes hangers, but no bar to hang them on.- curtains don't keep light out at all.
